You know how sometimes you become a huge fan of an obscure musical artist or group and you feel like you're one of only three people who know about them but it's OK because you are absolutely obsessed with them and it's actually better that they're unknown because that would kind of ruin it and then they blow up big and everyone likes them and they're on MTV and become HUGE and famous? You know how that sucks?
Well, this is different but Oprah just recommened James Frey's book, A Million Little Pieces, for her book club. It is now number 1 on amazon's bestseller list. It's amazing how much power this woman has in the world. I haven't read the book, but I did read the first 15-20 pages. It was pretty good, I guess. If it wasn't a true story I'm sure I wouldn't've liked it as much. This book was well-known before, but now it's mainstream and, even though I didn't read it before, I knew of it. Hence the analogy with the music group/artist, you know what I'm saying?
