Plastic Breaking
Last night we played the best team in the league (the Chicago Metropolitan Baseball League) and we won.

In one play, we hit a high fly ball to the first baseman, in foul ground, and he camped under it. He was getting close to the fence and just before the ball got to him, his glove twitched. I think it was because of the fence being so close. The ball completely missed his glove and came down hard right on his eye. The sound it made was horrible. It sounded like he had on some sunglasses or something and they had been shattered by the ball. He lay on the ground for a few minutes before leaving the game. His eye was swelling up and he put some ice on it. He was not wearing sunglasses.

It's horrifying the sounds that the body is capable of making.
