Movie
Saw Pedro Almodovar's new movie yesterday, La Mala Educacion, it was pretty interesting, I enjoyed it. Tollo was pretty shaken by it, it did have some intense parts to it, that's for sure. But it seems that nothing shocks that much anymore. My reasoning? It's all downhill after Requiem for a Dream.

Harper's Magazine
It's really great, I discovered an old issue at home about a month ago and it was great, I then bought two issues while in Boston and - while they weren't as good as the old one- I still think I'll get a subscription when I get to Chicago.

I registered for classes the other day and I wanted to take Structure of Modern ENglish, but I guess it wasn't offered this semester, so I'll be taking History of Rhetoric, Stylistics, and Travel Writing. So now I need a job or else I'll go crazy with all that extra time.

Paris
So I guess I'm getting into tennis after all. I watched the match yesterday between Olivier Mutis and Roddick, and it was quite a good one. Roddick was quoted as saying that Mutis was a totally different player in the second half of the match and he was right on, Mutis just flipped on a switch or something and dominated.

Paris
I'm here and we just got the apartment wired for wireless internet (does that make sense?) so I can post and update the site as I see fit from now on. Good stuff. Did I mention I'm in Paris?

The Cannes film festival just finished and Michael Moore's film won the Palm D'Or, yet I don't think he has a distributor as of yet. Maybe it'll come out here before it does in the US.

The French Open is going on and people are here from all over europe, too bad tennis doesn't interest me that much, despite David Foster Wallace's influence.

Paper
One of Andrew's roommates was packing his stuff up yesterday and I hit the jackpot...he was giving away a HUGE stack of lined paper...which may not mean much since I haven't posted "The Process" yet. But trust me...when I do...you'll - you know - "get it"

Borders
It is my nemesis, but I've managed to go there once already and NOT buy any books. I had 4 under my arm (Coover, King, Nabokov, and one more) and I left them in the CD section while listening to the new Dead Prez album, which is -disappointedly- not as good as the first (which is understandable). But yesterday I did go to Barnes and Knoble and bought a little book with tons of quotes from authors about the craft of writing. I felt kind of weird on the T while I read it though. I have read many books on improving skills in baseball on the T before and never felt "weird" about it. But to have a "learn to write" book makes me feel like people are looking at it and thinking what I would think of someone reading "acting for dummies" or "how to be famous". Maybe it's just me, but there is something going on there.

Yesterday I saw the decapitation video of the Berg guy, it wasn't pretty. THen again, what the hell was I expecting? I felt like vomiting afterwards (but didn't, the streak continues!)

Once More...adieu
Today I leave for Paris and I'm very excited. Sorry I haven't been able to post anything of any interest about anything.

Quick recap: The entire Cubs roster is on the DL and they are still winning. Jason DuBois is on the team up from AAA and Kelton is starting to heat up at AAA.

Boston weather sucks

THat is all

Status
Well I arrived in boston last night and went out partying with the posse, that being Andrew, Leslie, Rory, O-Face, and I saw some people from way back when, which was all good. Posting will be few and far between until I get established in paris next week.

By the way, there are so many meatheads at BC, I had totally forgotten. And what happened to all the super hot girls? Only seniors are left on campus
